  • Lassen National Park Highway Under Seasonal Closure: The main park road (Hwy 89) is closed to through travel due to winter snow accumulation. Vehicle access is limited to Sulphur Works from the southwest entrance and to Devastated Area from the northwest entrance at Manzanita Lake. Hiking and biking are allowed on closed sections of the road, but caution is warranted as road clearing operations are currently underway.
  • Road to Juniper Lake Closed for Repairs: Road to Juniper Lake is closed to vehicle access due to needed repairs. Road leading to Juniper Lake sustained significant damage outside of the park with no ETA for repair.
  • Bumpass Hell Trail Closed: The Bumpass Hell Trail is under a seasonal closure due to accumulated winter snow. This is an annual closure to prevent injury from treacherous trail conditions. The trail typically remains closed through mid-July. Learn more
