  • Big Oak Flat Road Fire Safety Work (road is open with 15-minute delays): To help restore more resilient forest conditions and safely reintroduce fire, Yosemite is conducting mechanical vegetation reduction work along Big Oak Flat Road between Foresta and Crane Flat. Crews are removing dead and fallen wood and reducing smaller trees near the road. This work reduces wildfire risk to visitors, infrastructure, and firefighters, and helps prepare the area for future prescribed fire or to better withstand unplanned wildfires.
